Pictures from Graduation

Here's Jessica, my roommate and classmate, and I being girly (rare for her, haha) and getting ready for the ceremony. We've had a lot of fun living together, and our graduation marks the end of our residence together. :)

My loving parents and I before the graduation began. I cannot thank them enough for everything they have done to help me get through school, and for raising me into the woman I am today. I could not ask for a better mom and dad. :)

Here's everyone on the stage, as each person walks to the center to be pinned, one by one. Katherine Ley, one of our admired instructors is reading each of the dedications we wrote.

My proud moment.
My mom snapped a picture as Dad placed my BSN pin around my neck.

I wish I had gotten a picture of all three of us on the stage! (I think a friend has one... I'll have to get ahold of that).

Our final celebration!! We ended up with extra "decoration" money so we made a balloon drop for the end of the ceremony!!

Congratulations Nursing Class of 2007!!!

New Graduate!

Seems strange, but as of last Friday, the 21st, I have graduated from Chico State University! Chico State's "School of Nursing", to be more exact. What a feeling. Although, it's one of those things that you are anticipating and preparing for, for years really, and when you finally reach that day, everything happens, the ceremony goes by in a blur, you have a nice dinner, and then it's all over! It's a great feeling of course, but at the same time, I must admit, I felt a little bit empty after it all.

At the same time, I am very happy to finished, and blessed to have the people in my life that have helped me get to where I am today. I'm certainly looking forward to the next chapter of my life, beginning to work as a registered nurse (gotta pass the boards first *wink*)... and when I really start to think about it, my normal positive attitude and excitedness (yes I made up that word) about everything all comes back to me and I really am happy to be where I am today.

I'm really good about keeping my personal journal pretty updated, but I'm going to try (once again) to keep a more regular public journal, so this is it. We'll see how it goes. Feel free to comment!

Merry Christmas to everyone!

**Note: As soon as I get them, I will add some pictures from graduation!!
